1. First Board Meeting at JA CCC

November's board meeting was held at the Coal Creek Canyon campus. We want to thank the members of the Welcoming Committee and PTO for being in attendance and showing us a warm welcome. After the meeting, board members were able to take a tour of the school and learn about the unique ways the school is serving both traditional and home school students.  Led by Principal Mott and a very strong Coal Creek Canyon community, the school has found a wonderful balance of JA vision and mountain traditions. We are very proud of the success JA Coal Creek Canyon has had already this year and the incredible potential the school has in the coming years.

2. Open Enrollment Begins Soon

Open enrollment for new families is quickly approaching with round one beginning December 5th. If you know of any families new to the area, looking to make a switch, or especially any families with incoming Pre-K and Coal Creek Canyon area students - we encourage you to share what you love about Jefferson Academy with them. Tours are always available and encouraged. More information can be found at our website - jajags.com. Click the "Campuses" drop down menu to find the location of interest for further campus-specific information.

3. Yearly Financial Audit Results

We are pleased to share the results of our recent financial audit, which reflect a strong and healthy financial position for the school. The audit concluded with positive results, highlighting our commitment to financial transparency and responsible management of resources. These results reinforce our ability to continue investing in student programs, educational resources, and campus improvements, ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of our school. Thank you and congratulations to our business managers on another successful audit.

4. New JA ONE Survey

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new parent survey! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and enhance the educational experience for all students, we value your input and feedback. This survey is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts on various aspects of school life, including academic programs, communication, extracurricular activities, and overall satisfaction. Our School Accountability Committee (SAC), led by Michael Westfield, has been hard at work overhauling the long Fall and Spring surveys we have previously used into one streamlined and much shorter survey which will be available in February. We  are very hopeful for all parents and guardians to participate and share their perspectives—your voice matters! Thank you for being an essential part of our school community and thank you to our SAC.

5. Holiday Care Package Donations Now Open Until December 9th

As the holiday season approaches, we’re inviting families, staff, and local businesses to contribute items that will bring joy and support to those in need. Your generous donations will help create special care packages for students and families who could use a little extra cheer during the holidays. Each and every contribution makes a difference. To view the available needs and sign up, please click here. Donations can be dropped off at your school campus and Tiffany Blakley is available for any questions (tblakley@jajags.com). Let’s come together to spread kindness and holiday spirit within our community! Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Your JA Board
